National Lottery grant awarded to Bishton Community Council – Underwood Community Centre – Audio visual equipment including new hearing loop

Underwood Community centre is a well used local centre hosting all kinds of events. Its ability to provide a better audio and visual experience, particularly for the hard of hearing will be transformed by the recent award of a£9500 National Lottery Community fund grant. Bishton Community Council applied for the grant and hopes the new facilities and equipment will be up and running over the next few months. John Davies , Chairman of Bishton Community Council, welcomed the grant award saying ” As local community councillors we are constantly on the look out for any grants that might help the local community. We have hoped to introduce an audio loop for the hard of hearing for some time and this grant makes that possible.
