Newport Council 26/27 Budget Consultation – open until 30th January
Newport City Council’s Cabinet considered its draft budget for 2026/27 at their meeting on Monday 12 January 2026.
The proposals focus on supporting housing, social services, additional learning needs (ALN) education, and schools – areas identified as critical to the well-being and future of Newport’s residents and setting out a clear commitment to protecting and investing in the city’s most vital services.
Residents, service users and stakeholders are invited to share their views on the draft budget proposals. Feedback will be considered before the final budget is agreed in February 2026.
The consultation will run until 5pm 30 January 2026.
